I was in Pope Valley in the early seventies. My father purchased a Winery there: Pope Valley Winery. Then when we moved to the Conejo Valley I visited the winery during the summers. It was one of those summers that I learned about Aetna Springs. The most interesting part about Aetna Springs is that President Ronald Reagan visited that very place. I know that Ronald Reagan knew about me; even liked me because our mental illnesses are the same. The Aetna Springs Golf Course was the thing he tried to remember. He would say after remembering the word Aetna, “oh yeah, Aetna Springs; that’s right.”
Just a little bit more about President Reagan. The commonly held view among the experts of his condition as a service is that he wants to be cremated. The fact about this view is wrong. He is really doing just fine at his library in Simi Valley. The reason people think that is because he is the associated person for Cathy James. That is her maiden name. After she got married it became Cathy and Hank. I pray often that he is okay. I believe that he was the greatest president this country has ever had.
