I did get a new computer. The community said “No.” So I’m sending it back.
My old computer is working fine. It was when I removed the Heat Sink that I accidentally removed the CPU from the 754 socket this past weekend. The socket has a lever. I worried a little before I found that lever as I tried to put it back. I am glad that I found a way! I really do think of my computer as a spirit.
When those machines are created on the circuit board, they are a living thing. I already know that possessing the circuit is dangerous. Please, be respectful of electronic things.
