Plan to get nine boxes.
Also try to get a partner to help you with the job. Keep in mind that a couple of people working the job will get paid double.

For a four wheat job: 4 wheat job.
How many jobs for seven boxes. Each box contains three?
Try to work the problem without 7×3.
24 is a multiple of 4; this way you subtract one.
Never mind 12, unless you get there taking away one dozen from 24. So, prepare to take one away. Did you notice that seven is also one? Well, in the number 8 above there is a receptacle for either a seven or two ones expiring?

What’s that?

Remember “What’s that?”  What ever happened to what’s that?

Well, I have a what’s that.  It’s not part of the body however.  When I arrived at Sunrise Manor in late 2004, I discovered Sunrise Manor was truly home to me.  The Picture below is the object I pryed out of the Pavement in the road adjacent to the house.

If I could give some advice to Verizon, I would tell them in a problem case to first check for objects in the pavement. As for my situation, I kind of did bring a lot of gifts for the other residents when I first arrived.  Lately, I’m told to be considerate.  After more than three years, it’s getting kinda hard to remember that I did that because I thought it applied to me.  Did you notice that people rarely say, “what’s that?” anymore?

So, I reasoned that I must have saved A THOUSAND WHATS to get home.

 

Gospel Sunday

John’s gospel arises out of a Christian community that has lived Jesus’ message for 60-70 years.  In John’s Pentecost scene, the coming of the Spirit doesn’t involve dramatic tongues of fire, strong wind, and speaking in many languages.  To his disciples who gather, feeling fear and shame on this Easter evening, Jesus brings peace and breathes upon them the Spirit of forgiveness.  “Receive the Holy Spirit.  If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them.  If you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”

In characterizing the gifts of the Spirit as peace and forgiveness, John’s community of Christians shares its experience of living Jesus’ message.  The risen Jesus empowers his disciples to forgive and forget.  A community that continues in Jesus’ name must be a forgiving people.  Forgiving others creates bonds.  Forgetting hurts and grudges keeps us bound and apart.

The risen Jesus forgives and frees his disciples of their fear to become a forgiving presence in our world.  He missions the community to spread the joy and peace they share.
