Kresge Book 118

I’ve already said some stuff about Kresge College at UC Santa Cruz. Now it’s time to think about Kresge with the correct historical perspective. The basis for creating Kresge: that Grandpa Elwood was murdered by Frances Beeks is no less true. Staff didn’t realize this for some years later. It was particularly apparent when I was a student there. I was related to Elwood; he was my maternal grandfather. I was having problems with that.

The Perpetual Dream: Reform and Experiment in the American College: A book by Gerald Grant and David Riesman, published in 1978 by the University of Chicago Press.

Chapter 4: The Communal – Expressives: Kresge College at Santa Cruz. The Kresge experience and the development that there’s no love can be read in this chapter of The Perpetual Dream.

Comment: May 15, 2025: The publication date, 1978 is the correct time for the Jeff and Tori dental procedure.
