Problem with Devitt

Now my given surname is DEVITT. In this blog I wrote the Pi into the name, but other people don’t have the benefit of an explanation. Where do people see the name if not in this luxurious blog? The answer is obvious to people in my family but not so obvious to the reader. You would see the name when the family member buys something; either on the check or the VISA card.

Remember the first rule of service, “Never question a name?” Well, this one gets a lot of resistance. The Pi in the name comes with a great effort. People remember the name and build the Pi into it after trials and tribulations. However, some of the best customer service people get it right away. Many people who have helped me will never get it because they can’t see it as I have a changed name. Besides I rarely buy things. That’s okay, I’m not that proud of the name and people are having me when a family member spends money anyway.

You wouldn’t think that a Pi would be that important of an idea. With Devitt, it makes a big difference when a service is being offered. Hemingway developed thinking that Pi is something bad. I tend to agree with him because it is possible to get an F3; where Pi is basically three-something. For that to have any meaning, the reader will have had to have read my blog posts that deal with mental illness and the conscience. Basically the no-brainer is that people in my family are spending money painfully. It is all on the line when someone buys something with the name.

Intervention 9192

If intervention, then gather facts. There are enough facts in 9192 to warrant fact gathering for an outside viewer. The determinant in this case is Elizabeth’s response to my approach; that was intervention to what was intended. The bouncer helped Elizabeth. That may have been intervention of a certain kind, but may have been more than what was needed. After all, all I had in mind was what my sister told me. It would have been perfect if the situation played out without intervention. This is not a perfect event. That is why I have provided as many facts as I can remember.

I’ve been stretched over Elizabeth’s back. She tried to flip me over, but I was drunk and pretty much dead weight. I let out a humph. That was at the Sonic Youth concert where they were presenting Thurston’s Bridal with the album Goo.

I got to that point from leaving the crowd in front of the stage. I was feeling sick and thought I needed some air. As I left the stage area the crowd thinned out. I thought about what my sister had told me; that she liked getting felt up in crowds. I saw Elizabeth out in the open and went toward her. The crowd is a pushy contact sort of experience and I don’t think I adjusted to the lesser. So when she saw me coming towards her, she took my arm combatively and tried to flip me over her back.

I met Elizabeth again in Seattle, Washington at Community House Mental Health. We talked indirectly about the Goo concert. She knows me socially and knows a lot about medications. Marcus the doorman was also at Community House. His area of expertise was employment. He remembered me because I talked to him right before getting kicked out of the Goo concert.

The bouncer took me to Marcus the doorman by dragging me backwards by my heels. I said to Marcus, “I have to find my sister. I can’t get kicked out. I have to find my sister!” Marcus was really nice to me.

“Why, what happened?” I asked. He replied, “You don’t know do you.”

Outside, I found the car and crawled underneath. I was scared and thought no one would find me there. When the concert ended, my party including my sister returned to the car. I heard her asking, “Where is Jeff?” I was underneath the car.

I got carsick on the way back to Kay’s House. There were four people in our party: Bill Sanky, Tim Yates, me and Tori Devitt. I stopped listening to Sonic Youth and most Rock-n-Roll in general. That little escapade stopped me from listening to the Downsiders.

Just a little background about when this happened; this took place after Jennifer cheated because Tori and Bill were living in Santa Cruz when Jennifer cheated in the summer of 1989. I began the Xyphoid and painted approximately a year and a half later. Jennifer was raped a year after that in the fall of 1991. For the story about Jennifer, see Jenny Berkeley. For most people though this time coincides with the publishing of Sonic Youth’s album Goo in which Thurston experimented with a “Bridal.”

The Laurel House

Progress Place umbrella of services included a transitional house for clients until they get independent housing: Laurel House at 3133 Laurel Street in Napa California. I stayed there a few months in 1995. What that house has is an old water softener system that isn’t being used. The staff knows about this feature because in the garage there is six fifty pound bags of rock salt from when the system was working. The rock salt is a remnant collecting dust and cobwebs. I think I knew about that when I was there; but, I surely didn’t forget it for six years after. Laurel House made a big impression on me. And, I really appreciate getting to stay. Thank you Laurel House!

Victim of Stalking

What it looks like to staff that sees me is “A Beautiful Mind;” but, I now know that I have the symptoms of a victim of stalking. There is another movie that tells me more clearly that I’m being stalked: “There’s Something About Mary.”

It just hit me over the head the other movie was so obvious. At the end of the movie, there is a song that says my friends tell me to quit my complaining. I would like help. By the time “A Beautiful Mind” has a turn, it’s too late. Yet, I would like to ask Staff to get some training to deal with me as a victim of stalking. Right now, they are treating for a mental illness, and I am saying I need a little more support around my symptoms because I’m being stalked. A little training on the subject will confirm that I am having symptoms of being stalked. So please, help me by understanding the pathology of the crime. At the very lease if you are working with me, could you please see the movie: “There’s Something About Mary.”

Beauty is an addiction

I’m complaining about someone that hasn’t been a part of my life in twenty years.
In my social contacts, the other person implicitly dictates to me the subjects to be talked about.
People involved with me are choosing left.
Many facts and issues I address are denied as not being true or not based in reality.
I can’t engage in small talk.
Bodies having names correlating to me are being cremated.

The Case Manager

I gave my consent for something while meeting with my case manager and I won’t ever again: to whom and for what I’ll never know. But if you are an office person you will want to know what happened; or more importantly, how to get someone’s consent similarly.

I was in a one-on-one with my case manager. It was my time to talk with him. We were talking. The desk phone rang and I said, “You can get that.” He answered the phone and spoke briefly about a form being filed after which we resumed our conversation.

I was uncomfortable with the interruption. Later, I realized that I had given my consent for something. If nothing else, I felt cheated out of my one-on-one time. I won’t ever give my consent to that kind of interruption again. I remembered that as one stunt a person could pull off if they wanted permission of some kind from someone they meet in the office. But my advice is to foster an open and honest relationship with your constituency.

Before Life On Mars

I must tell you there are other elements in the human composition that require our attention before we muse about the life on Mars. There are recent developments in medicine making young people immune to Chicken Pox. As early as 1988, babies have been immunized. They are more psychologically sound than people who have had them. Also, we must consider that the 22^nd chromosome is affected by both the Internet and global warming. This chromosome is responsible for our conscience. It is the most troublesome because of it’s capacity to “Be.” Both of these elements could contribute to our feelings of well-being sociologically. And when I begin to believe that there is life on Mars, I recall these important elements; and, I know that God has very much more to do with them.

Thomas Pynchon

I am new to Beauty. My reader is already savvy to the Philosophy of Beauty. I want to say that the international policies of major world governments has significantly weakened democracy in the United States. The most important piece to my great puzzle since I started writing about phocomelia is Thomas Pynchon. This is a father for a child that has phocomelia. This father is stronger than his wife because he is a prolific author. This becomes important in the case of distinguishing Beauty for his family when I emphasize that the child with phocomelia is a female.

Were you more interested in the Philosophy of Beauty? Or perhaps you want to read more about my views of the weakening of democracy. Why are people weakening democracy is a question I would like to ask? Really, all I want to offer in this writing is that Thomas Pynchon is someone. He could answer these questions. The mother should not be a source of power in Thomas’ family. International policies are geared to emphasize females with a stronger mother family circumstance knowing that she damages her boyfriend’s ontological structure of self. Since a person with phocomelia has dominant genes from both parents, it appears that it is possible to literally break democracy towards the female side. If it were up to the female, she could have a dominant gene making the circumstance of weakness. We want democracy to work and so we need the males to be strong. Since Thomas Pynchon has written a lot of books, I can safely say that democracy is surviving in my world.

Psychiatric

The psychiatric way of people is based on one or a combination of three elements: danger to self, danger to others, gravely disabled. Gravely disabled is when a person cannot provide for their personal needs. These three elements are the criteria for hospitalization.

In the hospital a person is observed and studied. They speak to a psychiatrist every day and information is collected. It is a time for disclosure and trust. Most people are released after three days with follow up and outpatient services required.
